Re: My first Flamenco class!
Thu, October 11, 2007 - 4:34 PMClaudia de la Cruz in Santa Ana, CA. Rina formerly of Fat Chance Bellydance recently did a workshop at her studio! Rina is doing flamenco full time now. Good hearing from you too Zanbaka! I guess you were my first "taste" of flamenco at the very first Tribal Cafe! That was a great class! I still remember how you taught floreo's with our hands in a fist! Thanks everybody for the support!

Re: My first Flamenco class!
Thu, October 18, 2007 - 12:28 AMHi ---- I just joined this tribe. I also just started my first Flamenco classes with Joell Gonsalves in Santa Rosa, Calif. Coincidentally, I have been taking tribal bellydance with Black Sheep for about 8 mos now. I'm 63, but have danced various forms off and on most of my life ( my mom was a dancer in the 20's and later and she made me ) I don't expect to ever perform seriously --- not at my age!! I am retired and now have the time to do alll those things I always wanted to ------ like dance more!! Dance for joy, Marianna
