  It depends on how much you want to spend, and whether at this point you feel like flamenco is for you.
  I bought my shoes from the Menkes store in NYC; the lady I spoke with was very helpful. Great pair; my second one was also from Menkes. Menkes shoes are made in Spain.
  There's a difference between semi-professional and professional shoes. I started off with the former.
  I have heard that the Miguelito brand from Mexico is ok for beginners.
