Hola flamencas. Has anyone taken this workshop in the past? I'm planning on going this year, and would like to know about dancers' feedback, review, etc.

Thanks.

Hi, I live in South Florida and I am attending again this year. I took classes with Nelida Tirado last year and she was one of the most amazing teachers I have ever had. Just for her, I am going back again this year.
    did you decide to go?

Hi - I decided to go to the flamenco festival in Albuquerque, organized by the National Institute of Flamenco. Awesome 8-day workshop. All my teachers were great and wonderful: Joaquin Encinias, Alexia Miton and Teo Morca. The institute brought in guest artists from Spain: Antonio Canales, Carmen Talagona, Rocio Molina, to name a few, who taught classes and also performed. I'm saving my pennies for next year.

I saw Nelida perform 12/06 at a tapas bar in NYC - she's amazing. Hopefully I'll make it to Florida soon.

It seems as if Flamenco in the Sun scores every year with great teachers. Some are from Spain and some are not but what they all have in common is that they are top of the line, well trained, highly experienced and with definite "duende." I come every year.
