Is anyone from duende tribe going this year? Are you signed up for any classes?
On an related note.. have any of you ever studied independently in Jerez or Sevilla during non-festival times? What studios/instructors would you recommend?
Best, ~Zanbaka

Sat, November 29, 2008 - 12:31 PMIf you can stay in Sevilla for a long time (a whole school year or trimester, or a summer course that's more or less the month of July), then the Fundación Cristina Heeren de Arte Flamenco is a great place to study. My wife (baile) and I (guitar) were there for two-plus years. Another option for short stays is the studio of Alicia Márquez, near the Plaza del Salvador in Sevilla. Alicia is a very good dancer who tends to have other good dancers teaching with her in her small studio. It's a friendly place.
